Hello beautiful ladies,
I know I’ve been MIA so I thought I’d quickly explain. I was able to keep writing last year throughout my uni semesters, however, this semester, I am enrolled in Bioscience. I’m loving the content of it but there is just so much content that I’m spending up to 30 hours a week just on that subject. Unfortunately, my blog has suffered but I just want to say to everyone who has stuck by me, I am so grateful.
I haven’t written an empties post for months now so I had a lot of empties, however, I just felt there was too many of them to review them all and so I threw most of the previous few months away and decided to start anew, with a few outstanding exceptions that I wanted to include here.
- MANYO FACTORY Galactomy Clearskin Toner 158ml
- RRP – $39.00 from Franki and Seoul (click here to buy)
On the bottle, the product claims that 7 benefits of galactomyces are moderating the natural function of skin, replenishing skin moisture, smoothing skin surface, helps make the skin crystal clear, helps skin active a good balance of sebum, helps soothe burning skin and helps balance the skin’s pH level. I probably wouldn’t test this out on burning skin but the other claims are fairly generic for an AHA toner.
I bought this toner as a Korean alternative to The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution that was out of stock at the time. To be honest, I don’t think it did a lot for my skin that a less expensive one would. I am now using The Ordinary one so I’ll be able to compare the two.
- Repurchase? – No, I don’t think it does enough to justify the price.
- DERMALOGICA Daily Microfoliant 4g (sample size)
- RRP – $84.00 for 75g from Dermalogica (click here to buy)
I used to always buy Dermalogica skincare because it always made my skin look and feel amazing, however, since I started blogging and trialling other products for reviews, I haven’t bought anything. I received this sample size in an Adore Beauty bag.
After using it every day until it ran out, I remembered why I loved it so much in the first place. It is so gentle and yet my skin feels super soft afterwards. It is a little messy as it comes in powder form that you add water to so it becomes a paste. I think my skin really liked daily exfoliating but I just don’t know if I would pay $84 again for it. On my continuous search for the best skincare for my money, I’ll pass on buying this one but won’t rule out never repurchasing.
- Repurchase? – Not at the moment, but I wouldn’t rule out a future purchase.
- DR DENNIS GROSS Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel
- RRP – $128.00 for 30 days from Mecca (click here to buy)
I had two sample sizes – one with 5 days and one with 3 so I was able to use these for 8 days straight. I stopped using all other AHA’s so I could see the results as much as possible. As it takes at least 28 days for cell turnover, and I only used it for 8, I couldn’t determine for certain whether this product had helped my skin or another.
I will purchase a month’s supply at some stage because I have a feeling that it was responsible for a huge change in my skins’ texture. I will then be able to review it thoroughly for you all but until then, I’m not willing to say yes or no to it.
- Repurchase? – I will for the benefit of thoroughly testing it.
- ESTEE LAUDER Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent 1.5ml
- RRP – $95.00 for 50ml or $130.00 for 100ml from Estee Lauder (click here to buy)
I received this in one of my Bellabox subscriptions and while I thought I’ll just use it up so its not sitting there, I fell in love with it. It is the perfect summer scent with vanilla, coconut milk, amber, mandarin and jasmine (I picked out my favourites from the notes).
It is coming into winter here in Australia so I won’t be purchasing it yet, but come my birthday in spring, this is on the list.
- Repurchase? – Yes, it’ll be my summer go to scent.
Is there any products here you love/hate?
