Christmas Presents

Hello beautiful ladies,

I hope you have all had an excellent Christmas surrounded by your loved ones. We actually went away for Christmas and were only able to fit one present in each so ended up having our present opening when we returned. My fiancé and I had agreed not to go overboard this year (as I can with my wishlists of makeup and beauty products growing daily) and instead go away for a short break. In saying that, we still ended up with a nice little bundle of presents.

This is my beauty presents that I received from either my fiancé or my two sons.

YVES SAINT LAURENT Black Opium, ARMANI Code Luna and GUCCI Guilty Black EDT

Okay, first of all, for those that think Black Opium was all hype, that’s okay. My fiancé thinks its a sexy scent and that the vanilla and coffee are ‘me’. That was enough to sway me into thinking this is going to be ‘our’ scent.

Armani Code was and still is a favourite of mine but Code Luna is a lighter scent to me and more likely that I will wear it everyday. Again, it has vanilla as a base note with a mixture of citrus notes and pear. There is also an undertone of leather which I find really unusual and what drew me to it, however, I’ve heard a lot of people aren’t fond of this.

This was one of those scents I’d never considered until it was sprayed on me and I loved it. To me, its a sexy scent but my fiancé thinks Black Opium is much more sexy.

If you own any of these EDT’s, I’d love your opinion.

MAC x Mariah Carey Lipstick in Dahhlinggg, Lipglass in Butterfly Bling and It’s Just Like Honey and MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Beaming Blush

I think just about everyone ended up with something from this collection and as much as I’m not a huge fan of Mariah’s, the packaging and that butterfly is to die for. Companies are making it harder to use our makeup. I also wanted the Mariah skin finish but it sold out so here’s hoping to a restock.

I’m the first to admit I have a mask addiction so these were a must have when they were packaged as a set with 20% off a while back. I’ve heard some great reviews on the British Rose so here’s hoping it lives up to the hype.

GLAMGLOW Gift Sexy Treatment Set

Another hyped mask, another mask set. These are quite expensive to buy so when I saw this at Mecca in a set, I thought that’s the best way to test a few different ones to figure out what my skin likes or doesn’t.

So that was my beauty Christmas presents and I’m so excited to try them all out. There will be reviews of the masks as I use them (I won’t try to put them on my face all at once…I promise). I’ve also got a blog on my favourite perfumes coming up so maybe these will feature after I’ve really tried them.
